Photography has always been a part of my life since I first began to study it when I was in college. I discovered later on that photography is also in my blood, having two grandfathers who were avid photographers. That background led to my years as an award winning press photographer before branching out into nature and wildlife work.

The appreciation I have for nature I owe to my father, who introduced us to the outdoors at an early age and over the years has taught me much of what I know about the world we live in.To Dianne I can only say "thank you" for your support when I started this venture, your tolerance of the early mornings and late nights, and all your sound advice.

I truly hope that you enjoy the images you see here and will take away an appreciation for the natural world around us all. Yet I cannot take sole credit for the photographs you will find on this site. Without the tolerance and acceptance of the birds and mammals you see none of these images would be possible. For being allowed to enter their world for a brief moment and take away these images I am in their debt. These images are as much theirs as they are mine.
